Algirdas Sysas

Algirdas Sysas ( born March 5, 1954 in Vilnius, Lithuania) is a Lithuanian politician and trade unionist, Deputy Chairman of the Seimas.

Life

From 1961 to 1969 he taught at the middle school Naujoji Vilnia and Antanas Vienuolis Middle School in Vilnius, from 1969 to 1973 studied at the Polytechnic Vilnius and 1982 graduated from the economics of Vilniaus universitetas. From 1973 to 1976 he made ​​the Soviet army service. From 1976 to 1982 he was a laborer in " Vilma ". Later, he led several unions.

From 2005 he is a member of Lietuvos socialdemokratų partija, LSDP councilor.

From 1995 to 1997 and from 2000 to 2001 he was a member of the City Council in Vilnius. 1996, 2000, and 2004 he was elected to Parliament Seimas .. Since November 2012 he has been Deputy Chairman of the Seimas.
