The Algoma University is a small university in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. The university offers 30 fields of study. The University worked with the Laurentian University and was known as the Algoma University College.

Campus

Shingwauk Hall and Adjacent Wings (East, West and North -West)

The Shingwauk Hall building houses several auditoriums and administrative and faculty offices. It is connected to the first, second and third floors each with the wing buildings to the west, northwest and east, in which more offices and lecture theaters as well, library and several learning workplaces.

Bioscience Technology and Convergence Centre

In 2009, the University received more than $ 16 million, for the construction of a life sciences and technology center. The construction works commenced in September 2009. The building will offer several lecture halls, laboratories, and enough space for students and professors. It will settle several institutions, including the Health Informatics Research Institute, the Invasive Species Research Institute, Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre and the Algoma Games for Health. The completion of the building is planned in 2011.

Fine Arts and Music Education (FAME ) Centre

With the increase of students, the University is planning a further expansion. This is in a renovated building in downtown Sault Ste. Marie arise, which has bought the university. In the former Windsor Park Hotel.
