Ali Abbas Al-Hilfi

Ali Abbas Al- Mshehid Hilfi (Arabic علي عباس مشيهد الحلفي, born August 30, 1986) is an Iraqi football player. Abbas won the 2007 with the Iraqi national team in the Asia Cup and requested a few months later during a qualifying match with the Olympic team in Australia for political asylum.

Career

Ali Abbas played in Iraq for Al - Talaba and Al - Quwa al - Dschawiya 2007 and was in the squad for the Asia Cup, as the Iraqi national team surprisingly won the title. Abbas came here during the tournament two appearances, including shortly before the game end in a 1-0 final win against Saudi Arabia.
