Ali Gerba

Ali Gerba ( born September 4, 1981 in Yaoundé, Cameroon as Ali Ngon ) is a Canadian soccer player.

His professional career began Gerba in the USL First Division at Montreal Impact, for which he set as a rookie with six goals and two assists, a new club record. After an unsuccessful season in Major League Soccer in Miami Fusion, he returned to the USL First Division and played for different clubs. He was particularly effective here for Toronto Lynx, where he scored 23 goals in two seasons.

A successful appearance at the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2005 with three games and a goal earned him a move to Europe for GIF Sundsvall in eleven games he could not save them from relegation to the Superettan despite five goals. He then signed a three -year contract with first division club IFK Göteborg, where he was loaned out several times.

In January, he finally moved to the German third division side FC Ingolstadt 04, with which he could achieve promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga. After the climb, he received a contract more and moved to England. There he met for the Milton Keynes Dons in 24 games ten times, but his contract was not extended to the end of the season.
