Ali Lamine Zeine

Ali Mahamane Lamine zeins (* 1965 in Zinder; Ali Lamine Zene Mahaman ) is a Nigerien politician. He was from 2002 to 2010 Economics and Finance of Niger.

Life

Ali Lamine zeins graduated from the Ecole Nationale d'Administration in Niamey in 1991 and entered the service of the Nigerien Economy and Finance. There he became director of the structures dealing with the national debt department. From 1997 to 1998 he studied at the Centre d' études financières, économiques et bancaires in Marseilles and international management at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon- Sorbonne. He completed his studies from a Diplôme d'études supérieures spécialisées. The Niger Mamadou Tandja President appointed him in 2001 to his Head of Cabinet. In this role, he was for two years.

Lamine zeins, a close confidant of President Tandja and a member of his party MNSD - Nassara, was appointed as Economics and Finance in the government of Niger on 9 November 2002. His predecessor in this office was Ali Bajau Gamatié. Lamine zeins remained in all governments until the fall of Mamadou Tandja in 2010 Economics and Finance: in the two governments led by Prime Minister Hama Amadou as of 9 November 2002 and from 30 December 2004, the government of Prime Minister Seini Oumarou from 9 June 2007, and in the government of Prime Minister Ali Bajau Gamatié from 20 October 2009. He represented his country in several international organizations. In 2003 he was a delegate of Niger in the Council of Ministers of the West African Economic and Monetary Union and the committee on Niger Governor in the Board of Governors of the International Monetary Fund. From 2007 he was a representative of Niger in the General Assembly of the African Fund for Guarantee and Economic Cooperation. He was also chairman of the Network of African and Asian finance ministers of the High Indebted developing countries.

On 18 February 2010 President Mamadou Tandja and his government were deposed by a coup d'état led by Salou Djibo. The new Economic and Finance Ministers was Mamane Annou Badamassi. Lamine zeins spent several days in captivity. He was accused of misappropriation of public funds. After his release, he was representative of the African Development Bank in Abidjan.
