All Killer No Filler is the first studio album by the Canadian pop - punk band Sum 41 It was published in German-speaking countries on October 8, 2001 Mercury / Universal and has about 3.5 million records sold, the biggest selling album of the band.

Creation and publication

The work on the debut album began in 2000, began as a singer Deryck Whibley and Greig Nori Manager with writing the songs. The recordings in the studios in Toronto and Los Angeles began in late 2000 and lasted until early 2001. On laut.de gets album of Hagen laundry 3 of 5 stars and wrote that the album a good humor. Furthermore, he praises the solid songwriting of the band.

Sven Cadario awards on plattentests.de 5 of 10 points and referred to the album as a true 08 /15 Punk Rock, but he also praises that some groovy songs were included on the album.

Whiskey - soda.de awards the school grade 2 - and says that the album can put a smile on the face. Fans of real punk rock should not listen to the album in his opinion, though.

Jason Birch Meier of allmusic.com forgives 4 of 5 stars and says that the album is not a classic punk rock, the band was still but on a good path.

Awards

In the United States, Canada and the UK, the album was awarded the platinum status. In addition, the album from the website top40.com was selected at No. 9 of the best pop-punk albums of all time. All Killer No Filler was nominated for the Canadian Juno Award, but could not win the prize.
