All-Malaya Council of Joint Action

The All- Malaya Council of Joint Action ( AMCJA ) was a combination of political and civil organizations in Malaya and consisted 1946-1948 to develop a post-war constitution for the country and thus to prepare the country's independence from Britain.

In December 1946, the first Pan - Malayan Council of Joint Action was formed. He served as a unification movement against the revised version of the Malaya Federation ( Federation of Malaya), revised by the Colonial Office ( Colonial Office ) in view of the British withdrawal from the controversial proposal for a Malayan Union ( Malayan Union Proposal). The core of the council was a group of left-wing non- Malays from Singapore, who had previously founded the Malayan Democratic Union. They were against separation of Singapore from Malaya and cherished rather deeper aversion to the proposal for a Malayan Federation.

In August 1947, the Pan - Malayan Council of Joint Action was renamed the All- Malaya Council of Joint Action, which joined the radical Malay Nationalist Party and its offshoots. This group organized a protest strike in October of the same year and published a little later a proposal for the Constitution.

Because of their close connection to the Communist Party of Malaya their efforts were in vain. The Malay Federation was founded on 1 February 1948.
