Allaines

Allaines ( Picard: Alaine ) is a commune with 418 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region of northern France. The municipality belongs to the canton Peronne and is part of the Communauté de communes de la Haute Somme.

Geography

The municipality, which includes the villages of Allaines ( west of the creek Tortille ) and skin - Allaines ( east of the creek Tortille ) composed, facing the Canal du Nord and is touched by the department of roads D1017 and D43.

History

The community was awarded the Croix de guerre 1914-1918.
