Allan Snyder

Allan Whitenack Snyder ( born 1942 in Philadelphia, United States) is an Australian scientist, neuroscientist and director of the Centre for the Mind. Among other things, he conducted research in various fields of optics before the topics autism and savants devoted himself. He was seen in the three-part science documentary " Expedition into the brain ."

Snyder studied electrical engineering at the Pennsylvania State University ( BS 1963). Subsequently, he earned master's degrees at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (SM 1965) and Harvard University ( MS 1967) and a PhD at University College London (1969 ) and a DSc from the University of London.

His trademark is a striking side -dressed baseball cap.
