Alligator Records
Alligator Records is an independent label Blue in Chicago.
History
The label was founded in 1971 by Bruce Iglauer, to make a record and produce, namely Hound Dog Taylor & The House Rockers, who wanted Bob Koester not receive from his employer Delmark Records. He got out and started his own company.
Since founding Alligator Records has published over 250 blues and blues-rock albums.
