Allison Moorer

Allison Moorer ( born June 21, 1972) is an American musician and singer.

Career

Moorer initially became known with the song A Soft Place to Fall, which was selected in 1998 for the film The Horse Whisperer, and was nominated in early 1999 as "Best Song" Oscar. Until 2000, Moorer get four minor hits in the U.S. country charts. The big breakthrough was her despite a lucrative recording contract failed to a major label.

The first albums to show are pure country albums, while the following books from The Duel musically more go towards pop and rock music and the lyrics differentiated from the subject area of Nashville country music.

Private

Moorer is the younger sister of Shelby Lynne and married to Steve Earle since 2005. The couple has a son born in 2010.

In 1986, Moorer was an eyewitness to her sister, as her father first and then killed himself her mother. Shelby Lynne looked after in the wake of her sister.
