Allora & Calzadilla

Allora & Calzadilla are an artist couple, Puerto Rico working together since 1995 in San Juan as visual artists.

Training

Jennifer Allora ( born March 20, 1974 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA) received her Bachelor of Arts ( BA) at the University of Richmond in Richmond (Virginia), Virginia in 1996 and earned the title Master of Science ( M. Sc. ) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2003. She received a scholarship of the Whitney Museum of American Art study program.

Guillermo Calzadilla ( born January 10, 1971 in Havana, Cuba) 1996 acquired his Bachelor of Fine Arts ( BFA) at the Escuela de Artes Plásticas, San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Master of Fine Arts ( MFA) followed in 2001 at Bard College in Annandale -on-Hudson in New York.

The two artists met for the first time in Florence.
