Alper Balaban

Alper Balaban ( born August 1, 1987 in Karlsruhe, † April 12, 2010 ) was a Turkish- German footballer.

Alper Balaban grew up in Gemmingen near Heilbronn. He began his career at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. In 2005 he moved to Fenerbahçe Istanbul. In 2008 he was in the U-21 team of the Turkish national team. Most recently, he was loaned out to other clubs.

Most recently, he played in the Türkiye Futbol Federasyonu 2 Lig, the third- highest division in Turkey, at Linyitspor. He had been on loan from Eskişehirspor in the summer of 2009 there.

Beginning of April 2010 Balaban was on the road to contract negotiations in Germany and had 5 April 2010 in a car accident, the consequences of which he died on the B 293 in Bretten on 12 April.
