Altenbrunslar is one of 16 districts of the city rock mountain in northern Hesse Schwalm- Eder-Kreis, Germany.

Geography

The district of the village covers an area of 9.1 km ², which is inhabited by about 300 residents. The town is located on the eastern, orographic right bank of the Eder. Just east of the town: the still so-called Mark Forest, which was once run by a village community from residents of surrounding communities.

History

The first documentary mention of the place Bruneslar place in the year 1154. Secured mention of Altenbrunslar is in 1410 in the register of those goods by Hertingshausen. From 1413-1807 and 1813-1821 Altenbrunslar belonged to landgräflich - Hessian Office Felsberg, 1807-1813 to Canton Gensungen of the Napoleonic Kingdom of Westphalia, and in 1821 the district of Melsungen in the Electorate of Hesse, which went up in Prussia in 1866. Structures

The first Eder bridge of sand stones was built in 1885. Before there was only a wooden walkway ( specks ) in the summer and a ferryman in winter.

The listed small Protestant village church is a Romanesque building, which was changed in the late Gothic period and extended to a rectangular choir. There is a windowless timber floor, which was probably formerly used as a fruit store on the ship. The bell still existing to date from the deserted village crushing Sindelsdorf.
