Althaemenes

Althaimenes (Greek Ἀλθαιμένες ) is in Greek mythology, son of Catreus, king of Crete, and thus brother of Aerope, Clymene and the Apemosyne. Because he was supposed to kill an oracle according to his father, he was sent from this to Rhodes. When his father came to give it the power to rule on, there was a misunderstanding. Catreus and his companions were when they went ashore, kept by shepherds for pirates and pelted with stones. When she resisted, Althaimenes, Catreus son came, added and killed his father with a spear, whereupon a chasm swallowed him.
