Altonaer Theater

The Altona Theatre (to the incorporation of Altona to Hamburg Altona City Theatre ) is a private theater in Hamburg, the literature brings to the stage. History

In the 1783 " leisure for citizens " opened Playhouse on the Palmaille found character comedies and dramas their ideal venue. After the war, opened in 1876, the house in the King's Road. Since 1954, the auditorium in the former " Haus der Jugend " ( trade school ) at Museum Street is the new venue. The building complex was built in 1928-30 to plans by the Urban Planning Senators Gustav Oelsner. Built in the style of the new style reinforced concrete building stands in deliberate contrast to the Altona Town Hall and the Museum.
