The Scrawled Filefish ( Aluterus scriptus ) with a maximum length of 1.10 meters, the largest Filefish. He lives around the world in all tropical and subtropical seas, both in the Atlantic and Indo-Pacific. The animals live individually or as a couple, mostly in lagoons and on outer reefs. Occasionally one finds juveniles or adult specimens in the open sea under drifting objects or seaweed.
