Álvaro de Luna (actor)

Álvaro de Luna Blanco ( born April 10, 1935 in Madrid ) is a Spanish actor.

Life

De Luna initially studied medicine before turning to acting profession. He had his first television appearance in 1961 in the series Poly and since then played over 150 roles for the small screen and the big screen. In addition, he was seen in his early years as a stuntman and active in later years on the stage. He played his most famous role as El Algarrobo in the television series Curro Jimenez. 2008 de Luna was nominated for the Goya; The occasion was his performance in El prado de las estrellas.

He was a founder of Plataforma de Apoyo para el Zapatero, in which artists and athletes committed to José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero.
