Alxa Left Banner

The Left Alxa banner (阿拉善 左旗, Alashan Zuǒ QI) is a banner of the administrative subdivision of the district level called Alxa Association in the extreme west of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China. It has an area of ​​80,412 km ² and has 140,000 inhabitants ( 2004). Its main town is the large village Bayan Hot (巴彦浩特 镇).

The site Dingyuanying定 远 营(now greater community Bayan Hot (巴彦浩特 镇) since 2001 has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China ( 6-491 ).
