Alyssa Campanella

Alyssa Campanella (born 21 March 1990 in New Jersey) is an American beauty queen and winner of the Miss USA 2011.

Life

In October 2006, Campanella was Miss New Jersey Teen USA 2007 crowned and took her home town then at the Miss Teen USA election in August 2007, where she placed second behind Hilary Cruz of Colorado was 17 years old.

In the years 2008 and 2009, she appeared twice at the Miss New Jersey - USA - choice, whilst reaching number 2, and the top 15. However, when she took up in November 2010 at the Miss California USA, she was able to prevail and allowed to represent the state of California in the Miss USA election the following year.

As a favorite for the title she was crowned in June 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada for the Miss USA and could thus also in the choice of Miss Universe in September 2011 in São Paulo, Brazil begin where it reached the Top 16.

Along with the other Miss USA winners Shanna Moakler (1995 ), Susie Castillo (2003) and Shandi Finnessey (2004) she participated in June 2013 in a campaign of animal rights organization PETA.
