Alyzeus

Alyzeus (Greek Ἀλυζεύς ) is a figure in Greek mythology.

According to traditional in Strabo and Stephanus of Byzantium fragments of Alkmaionis and Ephorus Alyzeus is the eponymous hero of Acarnanian city Alyzeia, son of King Acarnanian Ikarios and brother of Penelope and the Leukadios. After the death of his father he reigns jointly with his brother over Acarnania. According to another tradition in Strabo, he is the son of Polycaste, daughter of Lygaios
