Amadeus II, Count of Savoy

Amadeus II (* 1050, † January 26, 1080 ) was Count of Savoy and a son of Count Otto.

He was strongly influenced by his mother Adelaide of Turin and married to Joan of Geneva. After the death of his brother Peter, he took over for a short time, the reign of the House of Savoy. This marriage sprang three children:

  • Humbert (* around 1060, called, † 1103: The Strong ), who became his successor
  • Konstanze ∞ Otton Marqius of Montferrat,
