Amador Lugo Guadarrama

Amador Lugo Guadarrama ( born April 12, 1921 in Santa Rosa / Guerrero, † 26 June 2002) was a Mexican painter and sculptor.

Biography

Lugo learned the artistic craft first at the open-air painting school of Taxco, then under the direction of Tamiji Kitagawa. After that he went to Mexico City, where he learned from 1942, headed by Francisco Díaz de León Escuela de Artes del Libro in the sculpture workshop with Carlos Alvarado Lang. He was co-founder in 1947 of the Mexican sculptor Community Sociedad Mexicana de Grabadores, a year later when Impulso de las Artes Plásticas and 1949 at the Salón de la Plástica Mexicana. He has participated in over 350 national and international exhibition, co-wrote La ciudad de México vista por cinco pintores and published several articles.
