Amanda Award

The Amanda is a film award, which is presented annually at the International Film Festival in Haugesund Norway, Norway, awarded. The price there since 1985, he was awarded for the first time on 17 August 1985. The Amanda is a 30 cm, 2,5 kg sculpture, which was designed by the Norwegian sculptor Kristian Kvakland. The name of the price is due to Amanda Haugesund, a legendary local woman from the 1920s.
