Amanda Peterson

Amanda Peterson ( born July 8, 1971 in Greeley, Colorado) is an American actress. Her most famous role was as Cindy Mancini in the film Can not Buy Me Love in 1987, in which Patrick Dempsey was her co-star.

Career

Peterson had at the beginning of her career a few minor television roles, including in the series Father Murphy and Silver Spoons. In 1982, she starred in the film adaptation of Annie before 1984 played the lead female role in Explorer.

In addition to Richard Kiley Peterson served as the granddaughter Sunny in the 1987 television series A Year in the Life to see that, however, was canceled after one season due to lack of quotas. In the same year obtained Peterson and co-star Patrick Dempsey cult status as lovers in the teen movie Can not Buy Me Love.

Amanda Peterson then turned a few more movies, but were not able to follow the success of Can not Buy Me Love. In 1995, she retired from acting.
