Ámbito Financiero

Ámbito Financiero is an Argentine business newspaper which is published daily in Buenos Aires.

The newspaper was founded by Julio A. Ramos on 9 December 1976 and has about 100,000 readers. It was originally sold only in the business district of Buenos Aires and mainly contained the daily rates for the U.S. Dollar, gold, stocks, etc. as well as some editorial contributions.

The concept was successful and the newspaper became a reliable source for investors and employees of the financial sector. Despite the simple page layouts AMBITO Financiero is now regarded as comparable business newspaper the Financial Times or The Wall Street Journal. In 2008, the newspaper was sold to Orlando Vignatti, which the Buenos Aires Herald heard.
