Amelia Andersdotter

Amelia Andersdotter ( born August 30, 1987 in Enköping ) is a Swedish politician. She is a member of the European Parliament and chairman of the European Pirate Party.

Unlike yolk ran on the second list position of the Swedish Piratpartiet in the European election in Sweden 2009. Originally received the Piratpartiet in this election only one seat, by the which came into force on 1 December 2009 the Treaty of Lisbon, the European Parliament has been extended, thereby Andersdotter in the European Parliament nachrückte. On 1 December 2011 she could take her seat and joined the Group of the Greens / European Free Alliance.

From 2007 to 2010 she was a board member of Ung Pirat, the youth organization of the Pirate Party. On March 21, 2014, it was elected chairwoman of the European Pirate Party.

In the European Parliament it is a member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy and a member of the Delegation for relations with the Korean Peninsula.

Unlike yolk has studied at the University of Lund. She lives in Brussels since January 2010.
