American Commerce Center

The American Commerce Center was approved for the construction of skyscrapers in the U.S. city of Philadelphia. The building should be used after the building as a hotel and office building. Walnut Grove Capital is the owner of American Commerce Center. It should occur on a site at the 1800 Arch Street. The planned 2007 project was dropped in 2011.

The building should have 63 floors and be 460 meters high. The actual roof was planned to 369 meters; a tapered glass structure should then bring the building to 460 meters (1510 feet). The planned by Kohn Pedersen Fox building would be the USA 's second tallest building after One World Trade Center in New York City, and was intended to tower over by architectural and the Willis Tower in Chicago. After the presentation of the construction project in 2007, was announced in late summer 2011 that the project is very likely to not be realized. Reason for this is that a year-long search for potential tenants remained unsuccessful as also due to the financial crisis from 2007 need for office space is scarce.
