American folk music

Roots music refers to the traditional folk music of a country. The term is often used when a rock musician or coined by rock musician of the traditional music of their region, but also other traditional musical styles turn.

The term is often applied to the U.S. context, where young musicians have to address archaic American styles such as folk, blues and country. It is used but also in terms of the so-called world music.
