Amersham station

Amersham is a north-west of London in Travelcard Zone 9 Station It is situated at the junction of Station Approach and Hill Avenue in the town of Amersham in the Chiltern district of Buckinghamshire. The station is fast maintenance of the railway company Chiltern Railways and one of the four western metro terminal stations of the Metropolitan Line. Amersham is the westernmost station of the London Underground and one of 14 stations outside of Greater London. In the year 2011 there were 2.1 million subway passengers the station, were added 1.219 million passengers by rail.

The Metropolitan Railway ( predecessor company of the Metropolitan Line ) opened the station on September 1, 1891, when she took the distance between Chalfont & Latimer and Aylesbury in operation. As of 1899, the Great Central Railway the station used also. On March 12, 1922, the railway station in Amersham & Chesham Bois was renamed, but received in 1934 back to its original name. The Underground routes northwest of Rickmansworth were electrified as the last of the entire network, namely on 12 September 1960. The last steam-powered train reversed on 10 September 1961 on the same day provided the Metropolitan Line to operate west of Amersham and left this section of road the railroad.
