Amur catfish ( Silurus asotus )
The Amur catfish ( Silurus asotus ) is a freshwater fish of the genus Silurus family rights catfish. He is originally from East Asia and has been exposed to, among others, in Swiss rivers. It is an important food fish in Asia.
Description
Full-grown Amur catfish reach a length of 30 to 50 centimeters, her body is elongated and cylindrical, and they have two pairs of barbels, juveniles yet another pair that falls upon reaching a size of 6-7 centimeters. The back is dark brown to greenish yellow brown, the belly yellow to white. The dorsal fin is small, anal fin goes into the tail fin.
Nutrition
Amur catfish feed on small fish, crustaceans and insects.
Dissemination
The Amur catfish is native to Japan, where it is cultivated as a food fish, the Korean Peninsula, Mongolia, Taiwan, China and Russia.
