Amylin Pharmaceuticals is a biopharmaceutical company based in San Diego, founded in 1987. It deals with the determination, development and commercialization of drug candidates for the treatment of diabetes, obesity and other diseases. Amylin is currently producing two drugs: Symlin and Byetta. The company also produces a drug based on leptin.
