Amza Pellea

Amza Pellea ( born April 7, 1931 in Băileşti, Dolj county, † December 12, 1983 in Bucharest ) was a Romanian film and theater actor.

Life

Pellea trained as an electrical engineer and worked in industrial plants, to then visit the Theatre and Film Academy Bucharest until 1952. In 1956 he had an engagement at the theater Craiova and from 1961 to 1973 he was employed at the Bucharest Comedy Theatre, whose director he was in 1973 for one year. 1973 to 1983 he taught at the Theatre Academy of Bucharest ( IATC ).

His film debut was Pellea 1954, but his film career began in the 1960s. He frequently collaborated with director Sergiu Nicolaescu. The notes played by him roles in his films Michael the Brave (1970), Ultimul Cartus (1973 ), Revanşa (1978) and Arctic cisco de aur (1978 ) helped him to great popularity. In the German film, he joined the DEFA productions Ulzana (1974 ), The light on the gallows (1976) and The Thing in the Castle (1979 ) and the Romanian- West German co-production The Lost Inca Gold ( 1978) and Killemy, the singing dog (1979 ) on.

At the International Film Festival in Moscow, he received in 1977 for his role in Nicolaescus Osânda Actor Award. Pellea is co-author of the 1979 resulting film Nea Mărin, miliardar.
