An Qi

An Qi (Chinese安琦; born June 21, 1981 in Dalian) is a Chinese football player.

Life

On playing on the position of the goalkeeper, in the Chinese Super League was initially at Dalian Shide active, now he moved to league rivals Xiamen lanshi.

At was considered one of the most up and coming talents of Chinese football. He stood at the Junior World Championship 2001 in goal for the Chinese selection. Although he conceded just a goal, left the team in third place in the group phase. Due to its good performance in the tournament he was nominated by Bora Milutinovic for the World Cup 2002. Here he was, however, only third-choice goalkeeper behind Jiang Jin and Ou Chuliang and therefore was not used. Due to a period of weakness following the tournament, he lost his place in the squad.
