Ana Fani Alessandri Carlos

Ana Fani Alessandri Carlos ( born December 1, 1950) is a Brazilian geographer. Bachelor and master degree in geography in 1975 followed in 1979 and 1987, the Master of Doctor in Human Geography, finally, in 2000, the Livre - Docencia ( Habilitation ). It is " Professora titular " of Geography Department of the University of São Paulo and coordinator of the study group on São Paulo in the same university. Her research area is urbanism and the " city of São Paulo " and spatial transformations by capitalism.
