Ana Porgras

Ana Porgras (born 18 December 1993, Galaţi, Galaţi county ) is a retired Romanian artistic gymnast.

Porgras begannt with gymnastics in her hometown of Galaţi, where she was coached by Paul Galea ( 1951-2013 ). As a child she moved with her mother and her sister in Bârlad. Your training focus shifted it first to the Romanian national team of juniors after Oneşti while she took at club level for the LPS CSS Buzău.

In April 2008, European champion of the junior on the balance beam Ana Porgras in Clermont -Ferrand. In 2009 and 2010 she won the Romanian national champion in the individual all-around and on beam, while others were each on the ground. She won at the 2009 Romanian International Tournament 2009 on balance beam gold medal at the World Gymnastics Championships 2009 in London the bronze medal on the uneven bars. The same year she finished the DTB Cup in Stuttgart on balance beam the first place. The European Gymnastics Championships 2010 in Birmingham she won the team bronze. In October 2010 Porgras fetched at the World Gymnastics Championships title on balance beam.

After several injuries and surgeries Ana Porgras ended her athletic career in January 2012 and then returned to Bârlad back to there to pursue their education.
