Ancient Diocese of Vabres

The diocese Vabres (Latin: Dioecesis Vabrensis ) was a location in France Roman Catholic diocese based in Vabres Abbaye.

History

The diocese Vabres was on July 11, 1317 by Pope John XXII. noster built with the Papal bull Salvator out of territory of the diocese of Rodez. It was the archbishopric of Bourges is a suffragan. First bishop was Pierre d' Olargues. On October 3, 1678, the diocese was Vabres the Archdiocese of Albi significant than a diocese.

On November 29, 1801, Diocese Vabres was dissolved as a result of the Concordat of 1801 by Pope Pius VII with the Papal Bull Qui Christi Domini and the territory was the bishoprics of Cahors and Montpellier affiliated.
