Anders Aukland

Anders Aukland ( born September 12, 1972 in Tønsberg ) is a Norwegian cross-country skier.

Career

Anders Aukland won at the 2003 World Championships silver over 30 km classic and at the 2005 World Championships in Oberstdorf silver over 50 km classic. He won six World Cup victories until February 2005. In 2004, he won the traditional Vasaloppet over 90 kilometers. At the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City was Aukland Olympic champion in the relay.

Anders Aukland to Norwegian Championship title in both the cross-country skiing as well as in athletics, Duathlon and Triathlon Winter. He was also active in dog sled racing. For his versatility him 2001 Egebergs Ærespris was granted.

His brother is the skier Jørgen Aukland. 2008 the brothers get two double success when they (before Jørgen Anders) took the top two places at the Vasaloppet ( Jørgen before Anders) and the Marcialonga.
