André Goosse

André Goosse ( born April 16, 1926 in Liège ) is a Belgian linguist and grammarian.

Life and work

Goosse spent his childhood in Houffalize and his high school diploma in Stavelot. He studied from 1945 to 1949 at the Catholic University of Leuven. In 1959 he habilitated at Omer Jodogne with the publication of Jean d' Outremeuse, Ly myreur of histors. Goosse was since 1950 son and confidant of Maurice Grevisse ( 1895-1980 ).
