André Jean René Lacrampe

André Jean René Lacrampe IdP ( born December 17, 1941 in Agos- Vidalos, Hautes -Pyrénées, France) is a retired Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Besançon.

Life

André Lacrampe received on 31 December 1967, and was ordained priest incardinated in the Secular Institute Istituto del Prado.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 13 July 1983, Titular Bishop of Legia and Auxiliary Bishop of Reims. He received his episcopal consecration of the Bishop of Tarbes and Lourdes, Henri Donze, on 16 October of the same year; Co-consecrators were Jacques Ménager, Archbishop of Reims, and Georges Béjot, Emeritus Auxiliary Bishop of Reims. As a motto he chose Servir s Ta Présence. On 1 October 1988 he was appointed Prelate of Mission de France o Pontigny. On 5 January 1995 he was appointed John Paul II appointed Bishop of Ajaccio, on 13 August 2003 to the Archbishop of Besançon.

On April 25, 2013 Pope Francis took his pre- attached to health reasons resignation.
