André-Michel Guerry
André- Michel Guerry ( born December 24, 1802 in Tours, † April 9, 1866 ) was a French lawyer ( attorney ) and amateur statistician.
Together with Adolphe Quételet he is considered the founder of the discipline of moral statistics, which contributed to the creation of criminology as an independent science. He was a member of the London Statistical Society.
