André Negrão

André Negrao ( born June 17, 1992) is a Brazilian automobile racing driver. He is a cousin of Alexandre Sarnes Negrao. He rode from 2011 to 2013 in the Formula Renault 3.5. In 2014 he appears in the GP2 series.

Career

Negrão began his motor racing career in Formula racing in 2008 in the Western European Formula Renault, in which he took part in the last four races of the season. Following the season, he competed in the Winter Series of the Portuguese Formula Renault Junior and was awarded second place as best result third in the drivers' standings. 2009 Negrão approached to four races of the Italian and Swiss Formula Renault championships and finished both the 15th Place. He then took part in three races of the South American Formula 3 Championship. 2010 Negrão was initially second in F3 Brazil Open behind William Buller. His main focus in this season in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup. For Cram Competition, he completed the entire season. With a third place as best result he finished the season in 13th place in the drivers' standings. He also began to two races of the British and North European Formula Renault. For the 2011 season Negrão was taken from International Draco Racing for the Formula Renault 3.5 under contract. In the season finale, he had to pause because of health problems. With two sixth places for the best results he finished the season in 20th place in the drivers' standings. 2012 remained at Negrao International Draco Racing in Formula Renault 3.5. With a third place as best result he was 15th in the driver standings. He was subject to internal Nico Muller, who finished ninth. In addition, he was second in the F3 Brazil Open. 2013 were Negrao and Müller again the Draco - driver duo. In Le Castellet he stood in third place on the podium. In the drivers' standings Negrão improved to tenth place. With 51 to 143 points he lost within the team again Müller.

2014 moved to Arden International Negrão in the GP2 Series.
