Andrea Eckert

Andrea Eckert ( born September 17, 1958 in Baden near Vienna) is an Austrian actress, singer and documentary filmmaker.

Life

Eckert initially studied literature in Paris before she decided to acting career. She enjoyed an acting training at Dorothea Neff and Eve Zilcher ( 1978-1981 ). She played at the Burgtheater in Vienna ( 1982-1986 ), at the State Theatre in Linz, at the Bad Hersfeld Festival, the Ensemble Theater and the Schauspielhaus in Vienna as well as in solo programs. Documentary turned it inter alia about Walter Schmidinger, Eric Pleskow and Josephine Hawes.

From her engagement at the National Theatre in Vienna their roles are as Judith, as Mary Stuart and to name as Elektra. Eckert was for 1991/1992 awarded the Karl- Skraup price. In 1997 she received the Kainz Medal for her role as Maria Callas in the play Master Class.

In September 2011, Eckert presented the Viennese popular theater her acting teacher Dorothea Neff in Felix Mitterer -written pieces for this house you stay with me dar. It deals with Neff's spontaneous decision to hide her Jewish friend duration of the war against the Nazi henchmen.

In the Viennese popular theater plays since September 2012 piece Bon Voyage, the chanteuse Greta Keller in a one-woman show.
