Andrea Morassi
Andrea Morassi ( born August 30, 1988 in Tolmezzo ) is an Italian ski jumper.
Career
In the season 2006/2007 Morassi could for the first time come up with some successes. In this he succeeded on 28 January 2007, in the World Cup in Oberstdorf one for him and many other sensational result, with 3rd place This was his best career result in the World Cup. The overall World Cup, he finished on the 38th place.
Following (3rd / 4th February), he took part in the Continental Cup in Pragelato and could confirm his good form with a 1st place and a 3rd place. At the Junior World Championships in March in Tarvisio, he won a respectable 6th place. In 2006, he landed far forward and finished the Junior World Championships in Kranj in 3rd place
At the Olympic Winter Games 2010 in Vancouver Morassi difference in jumping on the normal hill after the first passage as from 43. The first mixed- team competition in World Cup history on November 23, 2012 in Lillehammer Morassi could with the Italian team, which also included Elena Runggaldier, Evelyn Insam and Sebastian Colloredo also win third place behind Norway and Japan.
In the Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 in Val di Fiemme Morassi reached on the normal hill individual competition at the 30th place. In the mixed competition on the same ski jump he succeeded and Elena Runggaldier, Evelyn Insam and Sebastian Colloredo the jump to seventh place. In some of the large hill he missed with number 38 the second round, but could in the team competition with Roberto Dellasega, Davide Bresadola and Sebastian Colloredo reach eighth place. In individual World Cup after the World Cup in Lahti, Finland he missed in individual qualification and was eliminated in the team competition with the team after the first passage in ninth out.
Morassi starts for the sports group of the Corpo Forestale dello Stato ( Gruppo Sportivo Forestale ). Since January 2008 he has been a regular member of the police force.
