Andrea Thompson

Rebecca Andrea Thompson ( born January 6, 1959 in Dayton, Ohio, United States ) is an American actress. She was known primarily for starring roles in the television series Falcon Crest, Babylon 5 and NYPD Blue.

Life

Andrea Thompson comes from a Catholic family and has four siblings. When she was six years old, the family moved to Australia. After graduating from high school, she traveled around the world five years in order to then start in New York with a drama degree. Then she went to Hollywood, where she had her first film appearance in 1986. She played her first major role in 1987 in the movie Wall Street by Oliver Stone.

In 1989, she first played a major role in the soap opera Falcon Crest. From 1994 to 1995 she played the telepath Talia Winters in the first two seasons of the science fiction series Babylon 5 From 1996, she starred in four seasons of NYPD Blue policewoman Jill Kirkendall. In 2000, she left the show to work as a journalist in the future. First, she worked for the companies belonging to CBS local station KRQE in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In June 2001, she was an anchor at CNN, and left the station again in March 2002.

Andrea Thompson was married twice and has one son. Her second husband was Jerry Doyle, a play - mate from the series Babylon 5
