Andreas Ibertsberger

Andreas Ibertsberger ( born July 27, 1982 in Neumarkt am Wallersee ) is currently a loose association of Austrian football player.

Career

The dynamic and combative defender began his career as a youth player in his parent club SV Hall, 1945. Via the Federal youth development center of the 1.77 m wide Ibertsberger came in 2001 to SV Austria Salzburg and played in the following years, both in the club and in the U -21 crew of the OFB in the foreground. Since January 2005, the brother of former national player Robert Ibertsberger played at SC Freiburg and came there, though more of a right-footer, as well as in Salzburg mostly on the left side of the defensive back four are used. From his former coach at SC Freiburg, Volker Finke, the Seekirchener was judged to be great defenders talent with good perspective.

On 29 January 2008 he moved to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim after he had already signed a contract for the 2008/09 season. With the TSG he made the promotion to the Bundesliga and also was 2008 Fall Master.

His debut in the Austrian national team celebrated Andreas Ibertsberger on 13 October 2004 under team boss Hans Krankl qualifier for the FIFA World Cup in 2006 against Northern Ireland. International sensation he made with his excellent cover work against superstar David Beckham in the match against England on 8 October 2005. Beckham looked through the good performance of Ibertsberger to two fouls in the young Austrians coerced and was referred to then the referee of the field.

7 February 2009 published Ibertsberger and his team-mate Christoph Janker after a game at Borussia Mönchengladbach ten minutes late for a doping control, since they had first attended a team meeting. According to media reports, the two football players therefore threatened a year-long lock. The case against the player was eventually stopped because " no classical doping offense " been present, but " it is an intentionally committed breach of the anti-doping rules of the DFB " acted. Therefore, the TSG 1899 Hoffenheim was sentenced to a fine of € 75,000 and the physiotherapist to 2,500 €.

On 26 April 2012, the TSG 1899 Hoffenheim was announced that the June 30, 2012 expiring contract would not be renewed. So Ibertsberger left Hoffenheim after four and a half years.

It was not until the end of January 2013 Ibertsberger found a new club in the second division club MSV Duisburg. He signed a fixed-term contract until the end of the season with the option to extend this for a further year. This option has not been drawn, so that the guest appearance of Ibertsberger in Duisburg ended again after half a year.
