Andreas Oschkenat

Andreas Oschkenat ( born June 9, 1962 in Sonneberg ) is a former German hurdler, who started for the GDR and who specialized in the 110-meter distance.

He won the 1981 European Junior Championships silver over the hurdles and gold with the 4 x 100 - meter relay in the GDR. In 1983 he won at the European Indoor Championships in Budapest bronze 60m hurdles and reached at the World Championships in Helsinki the semifinals. The European Athletics Championships 1986 in Stuttgart, he finished fifth.

In 1987 he was East German champion and 1983, 1984, 1986 and 1988 DDR - runner. In the hall he was twice each GDR Champion (1987, 1988) and runner-up (1983, 1984) over 60 m hurdles.

Andreas Oschkenat competed for the SC Dynamo Berlin. In the becoming public knowledge after the fall of documents to the state doping in the GDR was found in the doped athletes also the name of Oschkenat.

In 1984 he married the hurdler Cornelia Oschkenat (born Riefenstahl ). After the turn, he opened a restaurant with his wife.
