Andreas Peter Cornelius Sol

Andreas Peter Cornelius Sol MSC ( * October 19, 1915 in Amsterdam - Sloten, Netherlands) is an emeritus Bishop of Amboina.

Life

Andreas Peter Cornelius Sol joined the Congregation of the Sacred Heart missionaries and received on 10 August 1940, the ordination.

Paul VI. appointed him on 10 December 1963, Titular Bishop of Regiana and ordered him Coadjutor Bishop of Amboina. The Bishop of Amboina Jacques Grent MSC initiated him on February 25 of next year to the bishop; Co-consecrators were Adrianus Djajasepoetra SJ, Archbishop of Jakarta and Nicolas Martinus Schneiders CICM, Archbishop of Makassar. After the retirement of Jacques Grent he followed this as Bishop of Amboina by and gave the title of the titular bishop of Regiana on.

On June 10, 1994 Pope John Paul II accepted his resignation age-related.
