Andres Oper ( born November 7, 1977 in Tallinn ) is a former Estonian football player. With 38 goals in 134 international matches Opera 's record scorer in the Estonian national team.

Career

Early stations in Estonia and Denmark

In 1987, Andres Oper began his career in the youth of FC LSMK / Pantrid Tallinn. There he played until 1994, then he went into the youth of JK Tervis Pärnu and moved in the same year to FC Flora Tallinn. In Tallinn he signed his first professional contract in the same year. When he was 21 years old, wanted Arsenal to lure him to the Premier League, however, a change came to London never materialized. After he came only brief appearances in the early years, he was loaned in 1996 to his former youth club JK Tervis Pärnu. After nine starts and three goals, he returned to Tallinn and then fought his way to a permanent place. In Flora Tallinn he won the Meistriliiga 1994/95, 1997/98 and 1998, 1995/96 and 1996/ 97, he was with his team runner-up. These two domestic cup successes in the years 1995 and 1998, as well as the Super Cup in 1998 and a finals come a year later. He was awarded the Estonian Footballer of the Year in 1999.

On 2 July 1999, he moved for the equivalent of one million U.S. dollars in the Superliga club Aalborg BK of the Danish, where he signed a five-year contract. Together with his team-mate Indrek Zelinski a successful time, he was crowned with a final participation, but no final victory in the country Turner Cup rings, the Danish Cup in 2000. Rise in Moscow and Kerkrade

On 10 July 2003 he signed a two year contract with the Russian club Torpedo Moscow. After several injuries on his right foot from his contract page of the association out, was not renewed. Opera played 53 games and scored eight goals. Then he moved to the end of August 2005 Dutch club Roda JC Kerkrade, where he signed a one year contract. Prior to a possible move to England has failed to Sunderland AFC. His first goal in the Eredivisie, he scored on October 1 in a 3-2 win over Vitesse Arnhem. This year he won for the third time election to Estonian Footballer of the Year and also the Journalist Award for the best Estonian footballer. On 28 May 2006 he extended his contract until 30 June 2008. In his second season he scored 19 goals and became the top scorer of his club. In 2008 he reached the final of the KNVB Cup, which Roda JC Kerkrade but lost 0-2 against Feyenoord Rotterdam. Despite an ongoing contract in May 2007, he extended his contract again, this time until 30 June 2009.

Change to the Far East and the stations after

After the expiry of his contract, he signed on in China with Shanghai Shenhua, where he signed a half year contract. Following its debut in August 2009 in the away game against Jiangsu Sainty, he was injured on September 12 against Beijing Guoan and so his contract after six games and no gate ran out. After a not very successful time in China, he signed in January 2010 half -year contract with ADO Den Haag, with an option for another year. He made his debut on 13 February against Willem II Tilburg, on 18 April, he scored his first goal for Den Haag 's 4-0 win against RKC Waalwijk. He insisted on the contract option, but still had some more demands, so that ADO Den Haag broke off the negotiations and as his contract expired in the summer of 2010.

On September 9, he signed a one-year contract with Cypriot club AEK Larnaca. In his first game against Ethnikos Achnas, just scored his first goal. After he was after his station in The Hague a short time without a club, he remained at Larnaka only until the summer of the following year, as his contract was not renewed, and was then about half a year without a club. Within Cyprus, he eventually joined in the winter 2011/12 the club Nea Salamis Famagusta. For the Cypriots he was until the summer of 2013 in use, before he ended his career as a player.

National

At the age of 17 he played at the Baltic Cup 1995 his first international match against Latvia. In his first international goal he had to wait until June 8, 1997 which he scored in the FIFA World Cup 1998 qualifier against Sweden. On 2 September 2006, he played his 100th international match against Israel. With 38 goals in 131 international matches is opera scorer of the Estonian national team and the only Baltic players reach the more than 30 international goals.
