Andrew McKelvey

Andrew McKelvey ( b. 1934 in New York City; † 27 November 2008) was an American entrepreneur. He founded the world-wide Internet job site Monster Worldwide.

McKelvey, in 1967, the company Telephone Marketing Program, which specialized in the advertising business in the Yellow Pages and was known as TMP Worldwide Advertising and Communications internationally later. 1995 McKelvey bought to the company The Monster Board and Online Career Center, which he united to the Job Center Monster.com in 1999 and eventually brought together in a merger with TMP Worldwide to Monster Worldwide, headquartered in New York City in 2003. In 2007, Monster sales of $ 1.35 billion and had 5,200 employees in 36 countries.

Andrew McKelvey retired in 2006 with 72 years of his company back. The billionaire died in November 2008 from the effects of a pancreatic tumor.
